Residential Refuse Service

Tostenson Inc. collects residential garbage Monday-Thursday.

 

Please Note:

  • Carts must be placed at collection location by 6:00 AM on the designated collection day.

  • Cart accessibility is the responsibility of the resident.  This includes snow removal to allow pick up during the winter months.

  • A 4-foot clearance must be maintained around your cart.

  • Cart lids must be closed. All refuse must be in the cart, not protruding.

  • Do not use bungee cords, chains, etc... to tie the carts/covers down.

  • Any extra garbage must be tagged. 1 tag per 30 gal. bag. Tags may be purchased at the City Office or directly from the Tostenson Inc. office.

  • Cart handles are to face your residence.

  • Carts containing hazardous waste will not be picked up.

  • Carts containing brush or yard waste will not be picked up.

  • If your service falls on a holiday, garbage will be picked up on the next weekday.

  • Refuse carts are picked up with an automated truck.  Truck operators do not leave the vehicle to empty or move carts. You MUST use your cart!  DO NOT put out bags of garbage (unless they are properly tagged).

  • To BEGIN with, the driver will set your cart in the correct spot if it is not in the proper spot.

  • Please call our office within 24 hrs. if your garbage is not picked up, or your cart needs repair.

  • Tostenson Inc. is CLOSED on the following holidays:

    • New Years Day, ​Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day

      • If your garbage service falls on a Holiday we are closed, your garbage will be picked up​ the following day.

Cart Repair

Tostenson Inc. will repair damage to carts that is caused by the collection equipment or conditions beyond the resident's control. Residents may be charged for repairs or lost carts if negligence is determined. Residents are responsible for keeping the carts fairly clean.

Call 320-269-7243 for pricing.  For new customers, a 3 month deposit is required before the start of service.  This will be credited towards your first 3 months of service.
